Ginger Bear's Christmas Cookie Mystery
Published in Hardcover by Scandinavian Descent Inc (November, 1992)
Author: Karen L. Nielsen-McLellan
Average review score:

A Wonderful book for parents helping their children read!
This book is excellent in the use of imagery that aids in the telling of the story. The story instills in children the work ethic, which is lost in many of today's recent books. It creates the aura of the joy and fun of teamwork, of working (playing) with others, of helping others when they are in need. Otis and Dunlap are two of the cutest elves that Santa has ever had. They make mistakes, they mean well, they try to correct their mistakes, and they are rewarded. The print is large enough for younger beginning-readers and for grand-parents to clearly see the words, and the illustrations are well-defined, bold, and colorful.

The hard way through life.
This book is my absolute favorite book that I have ever read in my years. I was looking through my Christian school library and my eye spotted this book. I checked it out thinking I would give it a try. Before I knew it I was so caught up in it that it was as if I was in that world. The author of the book tells about the journey through a child's life all through teenage years and even adult years. It tells of a child with a hard life and she has a little, glass, blue bear. She takes her bear to all the places she goes. Such as new foster homes. If there is any book that you want to read I definitaly recommend this!

Soothing book to love for your child expecting a sibling
I saw this at a baby shower and had to have it! The illustrations are wonderful, and the book combines a little religion and a wonderful way for parents to explain the blessing of a second (or third...) sibling. We have enjoyed this book very much.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Published in Library Binding by North South Books (May, 2001)
Author: Valeri Gorbachev
Average review score:

Great for Preschoolers
As a children's librarian, I am often looking for fairy tales written simply for my preschool storytimes. This book meets my needs with large, colorful pictures and simple text. The traditional story is presented although the bears are far from frightening for little children. The bears are the sympathetic characters, especially with their amusement at Goldilock's invasion of their home and their familiar clothing. Gorbachev's illustrations have many fun details, including views of the bears on their family outing through various windows of the house. The book will entertain children-and hopefully adults-- through several rereadings.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears (First Favourite Tales)
Published in Hardcover by Ladybird Books Ltd (May, 1999)
Author: Ladybird
Average review score:

great illustration
Me and my two-year old son loved this book instantly, mainly because of great illustration. Other books in First Favourite Tales series aren't as good as this one. The story is somewhat changed from the one I remember from my chilhood but that's O.K. Maybe we loved the book so much because we already had fingerpuppets of the three bears and Goldilocks but I really do recomend it.

My 2nd grade loved this book!
My second grade students loved this book. Children get tired of hearing the same old boring stories told over and over again. So, when I said that I had found a different version of the story, they were all ears. They laughed, but i still think that they liked the original better....

Goldilocks and the Three Bears: Classic Tales Elementary 1
Published in Paperback by Oxford Univ Pr Childrens Books (January, 1997)
Author: Sue Arengo
Average review score:

Great for vocabulary development for preschoolers
I have used all the Classic Tales by Sue Arengo wih my 4 year old daughter. They all can also be purchased on tape. They are great for building a young child's vocabulary. They are easy to understand and introduce basic grammar. They can be also used for speech therapy to introduce tenses and retelling stories. They use a lot of repetition and common expressions which is very helpful.

Goldilocks & the Three Bears
The signs were well done. I have a Daycare in my home and the kids would sign with me until their arms would get tired and they would lay down and watch and listen and start up again when their arms felt better. With a story like this that the kids are familar it makes then want to learn to sign more and more of it. My kids will sign parts of it to their father is knows very little about sign, but is learning happily. It was an excellent purchase for us.

Good Night Little Bear

Long Search Finally Ends
I must have read this Little Golden Book book to my daughter over 1000 times. She absolutely loved it as a child. Even though she had memorized the words she insisted on having it read to her every night and she caught me every time I tried to turn two pages at once.

For several years, she had unsuccessfully searched for this book so she could read it to her two sons aged 1 and 3. I was thrilled to see that it was recently re-published and available on Amazon[.com].

The story line involves a baby bear who hides on his father's shoulders when it is time for him to go to bed. The father bear "searches" all over the house for "little bear" who is nowhere to be found. At long last, the father bear looks in a mirror and discovers "little bear" who is perched on his shoulders. A simple story, but one which absolutely fascinated my daughter.
